At least they're working on something new. Finally. Innovation instead of using something that's been in cell phones since the turn of the century.

Agree, there is a lot of talk and very little walk. GM has had a bunch of mild hybrids and now e-assist models. Ford came with the Escape and Fusion hybrids and has had a Focus EV prototype for years. The Europeans were messing with hydrogen combustion, hydrogen fuel cells, and making diesels. Now they're realizing they may be a bit behind. Mercedes just released their S400 mild hybrid, BMW is trialing and talking up the 1 series ActiveE and the Mini E. And the usually boo-whoo-ed Opel just won the European Car of the Year award with the Ampera.
