Though we have come to find Top Gear more of a comedy show over a motoring program, we still hold all three presenters' remarks with great respect. That's because these lads -- Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May -- have driven some of the more exclusive vehicles on the planet.
Needless to say, they're credentials are well worn.
So when Richard Hammond recently did an interview on Yahoo! Finance's Breakout and said that the all-new BMW 3-Series is a great car, we weren't shocked. That's because Agent 001 has already evangelized the greatness of the all-new 3'er.
In addition, he also said that although BMW went through a "tricky" period in its designs, it has finally all come together as the company continues to build products that feel as though they'll last the next decade.
One thing to note:
I watched the interview a couple of times and Hammond doesn't specifically say that BMW's are the greatest cars ever, contrary to Yahoo!'s belief. He simply says you can make that argument. ...To say nice things about pricey German cars is as common as cliches, but for the co-host of Top Gear to throw out ''best car ever made," that's cause to pull over and listen.
"To a degree you really could make a case for them being exactly that," Hammond says in the attached video, pointing to BMW's engineering pedigree and a reputation for quality that assures you their cars will "be here in ten years...
