WHICH Sports Car With A Reputation Is The MOST Unreliable And Impossible To Live With Long Term?
As I always like to preface with, I have been incredibly lucky to arrive to the point where I can say I have driven some of the world's most fabulous automobiles. Sports cars are always my favorite because while driving is a chore to some folks, for me it is a thrill.

It's my therapy. Having that visceral experience makes me feel alive.

That's the thing about sports cars though. Because they're geared for high performance and that "experience," they also tend to be high strung. It's like that lassie at the bar that oozes sex appeal and is a good time; however, there is some baggage along with it.

Some products have a long and rich heritage. THINK: brands like Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar, and the ilk.

BUT what no one tells you about some of these storied treasures is that they're utter hell to actually live with. Much like that flavor you picked up at the bar.

Though we've got an idea into some products that are lustworthy, yet not keepers, we want to hear it from the best source possible. You.

That said, we want to know: WHICH sports cars -- that have a reputation -- are the most UNRELIABLE and IMPOSSIBLE to have a long-term relationship with?

Any sports car with 650+ HP and a driver with gold chains and/or a trophy wife...both the car and driver will not survive long on the streets !

Is this for real? Sports cars, with their overpowered engines and by the nature of how they're usually driven, won't be as reliable as a weaker car where there is no strain (and abuse) on the motor. Plus, how many people actually maintain their sports cars well or keep them in tip top shape? Few. Most people buying sports cars buy them for the design and status, but probably hold back on the maintenance schedule.

I wouldn't agree that MOST folks hold off on maintaining their sports car.

I have yet to meet a GT-R owner who hasn't encountered problems.

Not one.

And from personal experience after testing a Dodge Viper for a day, THAT is a car that would be IMPOSSIBLE to live with and enjoy.

I couldn't wait to hand the keys back on that test drive.

Agent001, it seems to me that you just hit the spinal cord of the GT-R fanboys with that comment, hence the O you had on your votes!
I've heard the same as you, specially tranny-launch control wise!!!!!
