RENDERED SPECULATION: Jeep Preparing To Resurrect The Wagoneer?
Chrysler Group's Jeep may have a full-size sport-utility vehicle in mind. That, my friends, would be the renaissance of the Wagoneer.

According to a German publication, the Grand Cherokee-based product is meant to be a rebirth of the lovable Wagoneer with plenty of space and luxury. We're not exactly sure why Chrysler Group would undertake such a task when it already has the seven-passenger Dodge Durango covering that market; however, maybe a Jeep version would take the brand more upmarket and feature a more finely appointed cabin.

We're left scratching our heads at this one but if Nissan built a Murano Convertible, anything's possible in this auto world.

The Jeep name has a lot of selling power so I wouldn't be surprised if this was produced eventually. The Commander didn't do too well though.

The Commander failed because it was bulky, had poor powers rains, and a low quality interior. A 3 row Wagoneer would work if it uses the same strategy as the Cherokee. I was highly interested in the new Cherokee last year but was turned off by the smaller size and no third row. Ended up getting a Q7. Has this been available, there would have been a good chance I would have bought it.

If they base it off the Cherokee, and make it like a Cherokee LWB, then perhaps it may work out.
