Inspired by the unbelievable, vintage Ferrari 250 GT California, the modern-day California has been out for several years now. Now that it is in its mid-life period, it has received a well-timed update.

Now with 490 horsepower coming from its 4.3-liter V8 motor, this puppy screams when the revs start climbing. Zero to 60 comes in a very fast 3.8 seconds

Where the 2013 California should impress you is that it's been on a bit of a diet these past couple of years. 70 pounds have been whisked away from its former self.

All and all it sounds good on paper; however, has its look and updated stats impress you enough to fall in LOVE or RUN for the hills?

Roll the clock back about 5 years, and that's when I feel Ferrari was at the peak of its styling. At least in terms of what *I* like in a car.

I think 1999 was a great year with the 355, 550 Maranello and 456M.

I liked it from the beginning, except for the aluminum trim and beige interior. That is the worst combination anyone could ever do to a cars interior.
