EXCLUSIVE: If you really want to know what the new Audi A5 looks like...
We'll make it easy for you.

It's basically a carbon copy of the Nuvolari concept shown a few years ago without the Mercedes CL-like side windows (less arc).

Sweet.. hopefully it will have a v8 and convertible option - and I'm asking for too much but please a manual x-mission.

1995e34: that car will have the new chassis with the axle behind the front wheels.
it will be a much more balanced car; plus the Quattro on that car will be 40/60 rear biased.
Expect performances close to, if not better than BMW.
Audi is about to get a whole lot sportier with this new modular chassis.

You my friend are rediculous. Audi has the CLOSEST cars to concpets out of all the manufacturers. Have you seen the Pikes Peak concept and the Q7, they looks very similar. The A5 will looks similar but probably freshened up with some more unique cues.

1995e34:" why will no serious sports car ever use awd?"
ever heard of a lamborghini? or even a porsche? and fwd is a gimmick? rwd is good for drifting. that is all. having traction to all 4 wheels is better.
and farm vehicles are rwd. and ford trucks are rwd. bangle made a pigs ear out of the 7 series, it went from lithe sports sedan to bloated luxo-barge instantly. when audi used awd in rallying it changed the face of rallying for ever, i doubt there is a single non-awd rally car now.
drive a focus st, clio 197, golf gti, megane 225, saab aero or alfa romeo v6 and then tell us a sports car can't have fwd, or drive an r32, clio v6, subaru impreza, mitsubishi evo, audi s4/rs4/s6/s8/tt, lambo, porsche or even a flipping bmw x5 and say an awd car is bad and can't handle and is devoid of steering feel.
"ive never met a mechanic that has recomended an audi due to it's reliability."
either go meet some mechanics or give us the reasons why they did recommend audi.
"audi is fancy vw". oh god, more rubbish just comes out of your mouth. only the tt and a3 use vw platforms, the rest are all audi developed. why is rwd such a big thing for you? it is the driven wheels thats all, you're hardly going to notice it in everyday driving anyway.
so you want a rwd non-truck that looks like a bmw? a bmw it is then.

unneeded extra part to go wrong

seems like most stuff on cars is. imagine a complete idrive meltdown or distronic trying to speed you up all the time.
