Chrysler's Boat Is Beginning To Turn Around - IF A Chrysler Looked Like THIS Good Would YOU Give It The Time Of Day?
Now the reason I used the boat reference is because any sailor would be first to tell you that a sailing vessel isn't exactly easy to maneuver. They're not what you would call the most agile vehicles. Long story short, boats take a while to turn around.

Much like Chrysler will.

However, with all-new products like the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Dart, SRT Viper -- which got A LOT of love at the 2012 New York Auto Show -- it seems that this Detroit automaker is on the path to producing competitive products. That's assuming it continues to up its game over time.

Though I have yet to drive the all-new Mercedes-Benz M-Class, I am 75 percent sure I wouldn't want one. That's because the V6 Jeep Grand Cherokee equipped with the air suspension is a properly good sport-utility vehicle.

But with the good comes the bad. Take, for example, the Chrysler 200 that's really just a warmed over Sebring -- you know, the car that just about everyone despises.

Switching gears a bit, this brings us to our subject. A design student -- Christian Bonathan -- recently mocked up a revised Chrysler 200 that would replace that godforsaken product that currently exists.

And you know what? I think it looks pretty damn good. Certainly looks more compelling than midsize cars like the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, current-gen Ford Fusion -- sorry the next-gen product looks awesome with that Aston Martin-inspired face -- etc., etc.

That being said though, would YOU give it a chance or simply dismiss it as more of the same with a different wrapper?

this rendition is accros between a malibu and volvo cars in general. You would think that people whos job it is to come up with designs could think of a new direction rather than rehash existing concepts. Sad really imo

in most cases, the concepts released to the public are those approved by various levels of auto execs that have vetted general possibilities numerous times. This process, however, hurts a lot of very attractive & innovative concepts by many of the brand's designers. The process either severely minimizes key design aspects or changes the overall design character. I wouldn't necessarily blame the designers, collectively.

Depends on the internal workings of it. I would be interested if it was reliable and at a competitive price.

The concept does look nice, but reminds me too much of the current M-B C-class sedan. I do think that all future Chrysler cars should have more "upright" front fascias - unless it's intended to be a more sporty model with less emphasis on luxury.

I think Chrysler should now go back & revisit their Imperial concept with the help of Fiat engineers/designers. Chrysler needs a vehicle more dedicated to luxury over & above the 300...especially with the new Cadillac XTS on the horizon.

Guys! Guys! Guys!

Read the damn story. It's a design conceived by a design student. NOT a concept.
