Can YOU Just Put ANY Wheel On ANY Car? Does THIS Rolls Look AWESOME or AWFUL?
Sometimes it just seems like people throw ANY type of wheel onto just about any car.

Although it seems like some folks just spin a big wheel -- like Wheel of Fortune -- when selecting the rims for their car, with varying degrees of design and quality, it seems to be more of an art more than a science.

While style appears to be the first concern of wheel lovers, you have to remember there are also several avenues that play a critical role, namely: weight and quality.

Sure it might look good to slap on a pair of deuce deuces on your sport-utility vehicle but the penalty gain can have serious implications for the vehicle's driving dynamics. In some cases, a big brake kit will have to offset the unsprung weight addition. And guess what, that only adds MORE weight!

Then there is the aesthetic appeal.

Cars tend to look easier on the eyes with a larger wheel and tire kit; however, certain designs tend to "work" with certain products.

Take, for example, the modified wheels on this Rolls-Royce Ghost. This Ghost is sporting a set of 22-inch Vossen wheels that look as though they're more fitting on a Honda Civic than anything else.

They don't match the vibe or elegance of a $300,000 plus investment. To me, it doesn't get anymore wrong than that.

What say you, Spies?

How IMPORTANT are the WHEELS to a vehicle?

It's sort of like when a shoe salesmen once told me: "See, it's the laces that MAKE a shoe. If you get the wrong set, you can really throw off the entire look of the sneaker."

Or the headline could have been how to make your $300k Ghost look like it cost $50.

It does not look bad in my opinion. Is there another after market set that might look better? I would say so... Not bad though

Just because someone has money does not give you style, taste or common sense!

Reserve the word "awful" for when we are mentioning that Mansory crap.

Although I personally would probably never touch a thing on an automobile over $150,000.00, to each his/her own.
