EXCLUSIVE: We find out the official name of the new custom color for 2007 Porsche 911's

Last night we showed you the first pics of the new 997 Porsche Targa in the cool new orange color.

After a little research we've found out the official name is Nordic Gold Metallic.

It will be a custom color available only on 911's and will cost an extra $3,000 (approx.).

But then, for $3,000, you can choose any cool custom color you want, so that really opens up possibilities.

While I am not a fan of the gold, it is at least more original than the usually silver, grey or black Porsches which are a dime a dozen in LA.
