BMW Answers Audi's A5 Threat With 4 Series Grand Coupe

Audi led the way with the A5 Sportback, Mercedes will follow suit with its CLA (previewed by the CSC concept at the recent Beijing Motor Show) and now BMW is readying its own compact four-door coupe – the 4 Series Gran Coupe.

We’re already familiar with the new 3 Series saloon, but it won’t be joined by a 3 Series Coupe or Convertible – these variants will wear a 4 Series badge instead. The idea is to offer a clearer differentiation between practical models and those that are more style-led, as is the case with the closely related 5 Series and 6 Series.

they can't. most people want standard sedans with bigger backseats/headroom. and they're not willing to pay extra for a more expensively styled body. the 4-door coupe buyer has only occasional use for a backseat and is more interested, and will to pay for, sexier and less practical styling.

this is getting retarded so many dam sedans off of one segment i just pray to god they don't make a 1 series sedan i mean come on. but got to give it to bmw they no how to make cars maybe just to much money to play around with.
