Am I missing something?
- Opel is bleeding red ink, and has been for years!
- GM CAN'T get billions in bail-out bucks from the feds for Opel (a stream of income alternative to sales).
- Open doesn't have sufficient goodwill to provide GM with a "halo effect."

Does GM need Opel in order to sell cars in Europe? Does GM need Opel for small engines? Who would buy Opel and at what price?

Opel is extremely bland and just plan sucks under GM. Nothing good, nothing exciting... Just let it go bankrupt and kill it off like Pontiac and Hummer...
