SPIED: If BMW's Next-Gen 3-Series Coupe Becomes A Baby 6-Series, Would YOU Welcome The Change?

As BMW continues to test it's upcoming 3-Series -- or as some circles are referring to it, the 4-Series -- it appears that one element is coming to light: BMW appears to be giving the 3-Series more injection of "creative license" from the big-daddy 6-Series.

And we all know how some people feel about the 6-Series, which former BMWNA CEO, Jim O'Donnell, called one of the best-looking BMWs in years.

I am not sure if I'll go THAT far but it's definitely up there in the post-Bangle era.

That said, now that BMW seems to be sticking to a rough formula in its auto designs, and from what we see in these shots, do YOU think that the next-gen 3-Series coupe will inherit some design cues from the all-new 6-Series?

And IF it does, will you be welcoming those changes with open arms?

My first BMW was a 2002 330Ci. I think the new 6-Series is gorgeous, so I'd be just fine with a car that looks like a 6 but has the dynamics of a 3 and doesn't cost $100k.

I'm not sure I see much in the way of baby 6 here, but I'm still waiting around to see the new 4 coupe before I trade in my current car. I see an evolutionary update from the current coupe. I also like the current 6 coupe, although it could obviously be lighter, so the 4 may be perfect. Wish we could lose the idiotic dorsal fin...
