GM To Trademark Electra Name
General Motors has applied to register Electra as a trademark, according to the database of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

The company had two previous Electra trademarks associated with the Buick division that expired. The first trademark dates from 1967 and the second was issued in 1989.

If there are plans for a top of the line sedan for the world market, I pray its execution is a long way from the pathetic 1991 "Roadmaster." US-based GM cannot afford mistakes if it has any chance being of viable in another decade.
