What is the cost of the Audi Care, scheduled maintenance plan for both new and Certified pre-owned vehicles?

U.S. Cost Eligibility

Audi Care-New MSRP: $550

New and Certified pre-owned model year 2007 and subsequent Audi vehicles that are within the first 12 months of the original vehicle in-service date and 12,000 miles (20,000 km). The plan can be purchased at time of vehicle sale or within 12 months of the original in-service date and 12,000 miles (20,000 km).

If you are a lease customer Audi raises the res 1 point if you but it so any car over $550 the payment goes down / So you can say that Audi care is still there.

You do realize that BMW passes on the cost of the vehicle's maintenance to the consumer, right? On the positive side it could be considered an advantage that you can roll all maintenance costs into a multi-year financing plan...

Considering how much my Audi was in the shop.....I would hate not to have free service.

Thank god BMW has no plans on dropping their free maintenance.

Nobody offers "free" maintenance. As fatherdsl stated, that cost could either be incorporated into the MSRP of the vehicle (so instead of paying $41,000 for a BWM 330i, you pay 41,750 because they've added the "free" maintenance). Audi wants to be more price competitive, so is giving consumers the option of removing the maintenance plan and saving $550.

Nothing is "free". It's no different than Ford charging an extra $500 to all their cars and saying, "free 5 year maintenance with all new cars".

to use 2 phrases "there's no such thing as a free lunch" and "the only free cheese is in a mousetrap".
for example "free mercedes with every can of rupert-cola you buy" the cola will cost 80000 dollars but hey, the mercedes is free!

BMWPower- if the same BMw is thousands more then Maintenance is not free.

Chip - The warrenty is still there so if you has a bad one then you will still have it covered. No matter how reliable your car is the maintanance schedule is still the same.

Remamber JDPower has Audi as the most reliable brand so try another one and you should be fine. I have worled for Audi for years and they have been great but I can tell they are getting better every year. Just stay away from the CVT :)

If you want to Pay $5,000 over sticker I will throw in free maintanance, extended warrenty, Lojack, Tint, and a gold package (remember the gold package from the 90's?) :)

Any thoughts on whether to buy Audi Care on a purchase. For a lease, it's clearly the right move. For a purchase?? I've received conflicting info: Keep in mind that the first service is included in the 2007 purchase, you are buying a 15,000, 25,000, 35,000 and 45,000. I've heard that the services would cost about $150 each and I've heard they would cost $500 each. Any idea which to believe?
