Out of all the altima reviews out there, you managed to find a good review of altima in a unfair write up. they compared the base altima with the base passat but judge the altima specs compared to the more costly passat TDI specs. So altima would have killed the base passat.

The name Passat doesn't sound good in America. The Beetle and Rabbit are ok, but VW needs better name for the sedan.

The Altima is sexy but I think both cars are equally attractive in their own way. A difficult decision.
