WHAT Do YOU Daily Drive? Is There Such Thing As The ULTIMATE DD?
Now on my one hour slog to the office everyday I see plenty of different types of vehicles. Everything from the miserable Geo Metro to the six-figure Mercedes-Benz's are being used to make a daily commute.

And that really brings up an interesting point. What are folks daily driving?

Everyone has a different perspective as to what makes the ultimate daily driver. Some prefer the ultimate beater as a expert gastrointestinal I knew used to do his daily commute in a Plymouth Sundance. Back at his palatial estate he kept his fully restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro and fleet of BMWs.

To me, I want something that's the ultimate well-rounded product. That's why I chose a 2012 Volkswagen Golf 2.5.

I still get the joy of driving a manual, can really use its power and achieve 32 mpg and, best yet, I can commute in style.

For me, it's the ultimate DD. But enough of my thoughts, what is YOUR ultimate daily driver?

2011 BMW 335d M-Sport and 2011 Ford F-150 SuperCrew 4x4 EcoBoost.

Stewing on my next replacement moves.

Would love reader opinions...

I know, like in the old days with women, I have a commitment problem.

just snagged low mileage civic w/stick for $7,500. short shifting, skipping gears, anticipating controlled intersections = 38- 42.5 MPG's

debating: wait for Honda to build something I want to buy new or start hoarding the older ones.

What year Civic?

I drove a 2000 for a couple of years. Certainly not the most fun I've had but it got the job done on the cheap!

It all depends on how much you make and what you can/want-to afford. A very rich person will not have a problem keeping a Rolls/Bentley as a daily driver.

Depends on where you are driving.

In london and other congested cities with small roads, a Sirocco 2.0 TSI, 135i or Mini Cooper S is perfect.

In Miami or LA with lots of Freeway Commutes a 535i M-sport, S7 or CLS 550

I have a 2005 BMW 320d. Excellent fuel economy, great chassis and interior, and easy to park.
