Lexus Recalls 154,000 RX Models For Sudden-Acceleration Risk
Just as Toyota was touting a glitzy new deal with BMW for the future, the Japanese automaker was forced to recall a new batch of vehicles for sudden-acceleration risk.

The recall of about 154,000 2010-model Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h hybrid SUVs extends a 2009 recall for floor mats that can trap gas pedals. Toyota says the recall total consists of about 131,800 RX 350s, and 22,200 RX 450hs.

The company previously recalled 6.9 million vehicles for the possibility that floor mats could jam the gas pedal. Sseparately it recalled 2.1 million for a gas pedal mechanism that could stick and hold a pedal open after a driver lifted his or her foot.

It is sad how badly you can screw up a simple floor mat design.

All auto makers have recalls, some minor and some major. BMW has one for the battery connection on the previous 5 series. Toyota/Lexus had V6 engine sludge issues a few years back. Happens. Take it to the dealer for the service. Simple.

There's no risk. It's a floor mat. Secure it, don't stack it. Simple as that.
But if you're BMWSpies or the US Gov't-spread FUD till you're blue in the face. (Toyota will still be the number 1 automaker in the world.)

How long is this floor mat debacle going to last? I might have to go to Pep Boys and replace mine with some of the cheap rubber mats before my car gets recalled with this BS.

Here are the many recall from Hyundai and Kia that Autospies has not make a post for or mention:

What is the point? The point that ALL Auto maker has issues with their cars and as long as they're recalling it and fix the problems.

This website is becoming so Bia that it's losing so much it members and they don't even know why.
