It is a nice car, but it probably won't come to the U.S.

Does not look much different from a standard A6 wagon...very sleepy.

I agree, it does not have the "rugged" styling cues that separated the previous allroad from a standard A6 Avant. I mean it is a perfctly nice wagon but it need to be "tougher" and with a slightly higher stance to match the allroad idea. Of course with a different (two tone) paint scheme and some tweaks and it could be fine.

And I think it will come to the U.S.. the previous one did at least.

That Allroad probably has the air suspension and it is set at the lowest level, it gets more ground clearence than the regular Avant. With the Q7 in the U.S. I don't think that the Allroad will come.

Hmmmm, it's too bad then that Audi is not bringing it to the U.S. To me it is a distinctly DIFFERENT thing than an SUV and expecially different than the quite large Q7 (and the Q7 style does not appeal to many people).
The allroad must not be too expensive to produce considering how it is more or less just an A6 Avant, why they would not offer it makes little sense to me. For example I WOULD consider purchasing an Allroad (almost bought one a few years back) but would never consider a Q7. Especially with gas prices on the rise again a slightluy smaller and more economical SUV alternative would be welcomed.

There must be two Allroad models, because I have seen ones with the tradional 'rugged' plastic cladding on the lower panels.

Love it. Audi's newer designs are really appealing to me. Futuristic, yet clean and still very elegant - and Germanic looking.

This is a nice car, though I wonder what the purpose of this car is, especially with the Q7 out.

Love the new Allroad, but unfortunately it's price would kill it.
You can already get a Q7 4.2 for the same price as an A6 Avant 3.2 Quattro.
The Allroad would have to be a few thousands more than the A6 3.2 Avant.
It's tough; in Europe it's different because the Q7 is too big for many cities to park it.
Allroad is a good alternative. People here will be like:
Why should I buy an Allroad for that when I can get the larger Q7 with a bigger engine for the same or less?"
Too bad....I love that allroad.

don't think the allroad is a success here, they sold 1700 per year. bit pathetic. but the new one with its new diesels and high fuel prices might be different. i live in prime all-road territory (ie the suburbs) and i've already seen one.

will the americans stop whining about fuel prices. in the uk we pay $5.40 per (american) gallon. yet we still buy suvs. just more diesels. and second hand a diesel is always worth more than a petrol.
