LEAKED! The NEW Face Of The Next-Gen Chevrolet Corvette Has Been Unmasked!
It turns out that the third-party manufacturer of Chevrolet Corvette parts likely may have just outed the new "face" of the Chevrolet Corvette.

In a video displaying how Omega Tool creates composite body panels for the Corvette, it seems that it may have been a bit too trigger happy and showed off the C7's all-new nose. If you take a second and really observe you'll note a couple of key differences:

1) New lower front valence with what folks are calling "teeth"

2) A front grille opening

3) MUCH sharper looking headlights

The Corvette C6 is entering its final year as GM readies a more-modern replacement, but this generation of Y-body has certainly been a good model for GM, raking in the cash while delivering the fastest, most powerful factory Chevrolets ever built. Which brings us to our next video.

See, we focus a lot on different aspects of the Corvette build process, though mostly on the engine, transmission, and chassis components. But what about the unsung heros like the composite body panels that have become integral to the Corvette legend? We came across this video from the Omega Tool Corp., one of GM’s Tier 1 suppliers who as it so happens molds the plastic body panels for the Corvette. This video shows how Omega makes one of the most complicated parts, the front bumper cover.

Omega Tool gives us a sneak peek at the front bumper for the still-secret 2014 C7 Corvette

It is still a car for poor americans who want to pretend to own a authentic Euro exotic. Does anyone care when the next version of a Rolex ripoff is produced? Rubbish car that does nothing but pollute our enviroment and justify Viagra sales.

Typical Brit response to a product that he can't understand...he of course has never driven one and therefore his opinion has limited value at best. Would more than likely say the same about Camaros, Mustangs and Challengers.

Corvettes are not rubbish. While I haven't owned one in many years--its been Euro and Asian choices--I would have one. They have their place. And yes, they are a "pretend exotic". I think Chevy pulls it off quite well.

The size, weight, performance, etc. pretty close to a 911, and when you consider the low production numbers, I'm amazed and thankful that it keeps going for the price that it does.

You voted with your wallet. Rubbish car. Still uses a huge petrol motor to accomplish "speed". Same turn signal lever as a Chevy Cavalier. This car should have been put to death ages ago.

1CarSmart1, that is ridiculous. Corvette's certainly have their faults, but for the money they're probably the best performance car bargain on the market.

I've been on the track against Corvettes. They can be quite formidable in the right hands. Nonetheless I wish Chevy would raise the quality and price of the car...it has the quality of a Malibu right now.

Somebody is going to get a big hurt tonight. Actually on the second thought probably not as this is some free publicity without giving much away.

A lot of hyperbole in this thread. I am sure the next Corvette will be quite impressive performance wise and the interior and other aspects will be closer to the competition than ever.

1CarSmart1--What British car can out perform the Corvette whether standard trim or ZR 1? I am not talking about any overproced exotics that BMW or VW own. Buy a clue and quit trading scifi cards.

I am not "into" performance cars, so I can't answer your question. However, all of these performace cars are just about enhancing the male ego. We live in a time when Earth is under attack from carbon, so buring a bunch of unnecessary fossil fuel just to make my penis feel larger is not my interest.

I am interested in small carbon footprint vehicles and future transportation as part of my social planning degree. I was hooked here by a story about driveless cars, whcih could get here a lot faster if those of us who were more socially enlightened didn't have to hear the protests of the love-to-drive crowd. So I am also here to study that aspect.

Ah. Well, Mr. Moresociallyenlighted, please watch this episode of South Park courtesy of us evil and ignorant "love to drive" folks.

Enjoy it with a tall glass of smug you undoubtedly have an endless supply of, and perhaps consider whether you wish to continue frequenting a car enthusiast site.

I frequent auto enthusiast sites for the same reason a christian preacher would go to a strip club, or an Islamist would go to a bar... To try and awaken some sense of morality and care of the Earth in you heathens!
