CONFIRMED: It's Coming - Lexus To Debut NEW Lexus LS And There's A Special Surprise
As one would normally expect with the ultra luxurious Lexus LS, there will be your standard LS 460, LS 460 L -- long wheelbase, and LS 600h L. But as of July 30, when the 2013 LS makes its long-awaited debut, there will be something else.

If you've been following the Lexus lineup recently you'd notice that its products have all been getting F'd. I mean, F Sport packages as options. The 2013 LS is no different as we'll see the introduction of the LS 460 F Sport.

Look out for the pictures and FULL information to pop up right here on AutoSpies.com

Hope the 4.6 V8 is significantly reworked to match the power of twin turbo V8s in S500 and 750i. Also i think LS will be the lightest car in it's class.

I really cannot see this grill working out for Lexus too long. Its just not them. They are trying too hard to give all their products a uniform front end but I cannot see this working out for them, its too generic...

..the reason u and others like u cannot see that distinct grill working out, and as u somehow believe it's generic, is because u dont have inside information as they have. Toyota/Lexus are big smart thinkers w/ projected larger than life Vision and this is how they keep succeeding year in and year out. Oh yeah, that funky grill we all see as a little weird will pay dividends. They aint puttin it on there if they somehow know it wont work. And it doesnt have to work forever either!

...and "u" need to start using proper punctuation to make yourself look at least partially literate, and allow us to therefore take your comment at least remotely seriously.

Thank you.

The grill reminds me of the 1961 Plymouth.

lexworld...

The guy with a moniker of "acuraworld" may have also said the same about the beak that Acura wears and it has hardly paid dividends. "BMWworld" sure thought the flaming surfaces and Bangle butt design were gonna work. And "lexworld", oh wait, thats you... probably thought HS250h was going to work out... If big companies knew exactly what sells and what doesn't, then there would never be a down year in history. If Toyota was so visionary, they would have had plans in place in wake of the Japanese earthquake so it doesn't slow down sales.

My point is, BMW led the charge among luxury cars with their kidney grills and angel halo headlights, Merc and Audi did similar moves to streamline their cars with big grills and LED strips below the headlights which have now become a signature of Audi. Lexus seems like they only turning to this design language where a single grill can be applied across the entire line up only because they saw success in others. It seems like they are forcing the issue. It wasn't their design philosophy in the first place, but they adapt base on what sells. Just like making an "F-Sport" line wasn't in their philosophy to begin with, but when they see they need to compete with the Ms, AMGs, and RSs, then they forced the issue and developed the car.

75K to start with? That is significantly higher than what I paid for at the end of 2008. But I did received a $7,500 incentive (for those that don't think LEXUS offers any incentives). LEXUS needs to build a LS-F and forget about the F Sport package, that is for posers. Hopefully, it won't look to similiar to the cheaper ES.

pondosinatra, I'm actually agreeing with you for once.

I believe that Lexus should stick to its strengths of making a comfortable luxury car which undercuts the Germans in terms of pricing. To start steering away into building F-sport versions is dumb. Work with your strength, if you are confident enough in your own core values.

I think they mean "North American" premier. The rest of the world not that interested.
