Which AMERICAN Made Car Do YOU Think Is Built The BEST And Will Last The LONGEST?
Ok, so it should be no shock to all of you that I'm in the new vehicle buying mode AGAIN.

Chalk it up to the fact that I used to switch girlfriends as often as I switch my cars now so maybe it's my way of projecting?

The process always starts the same.

I see something nice on the road and a seed is planted.

Then I start researching, looking for the ride in inventory and then, let the negotiations begin!

So as all the different models drive by me on the street and I start formulating opinions, one thing is a KEY check box on the list for me.

HOW WELL is this bucket of bolts made and WILL IT LAST?

I don't know why it's important to me seeing I switch my rides about every six months, but it is.

So what I'm asking you today is "Which American made car is built BEST and will last the LONGEST"?

And while we're at it, how long do you think one of today's American cars will last and how many miles will you get out of an engine?

I only want your answer for cars, not trucks.

So have at it...Which one/ones are your choice/choices?

I used to have a Jeep YJ, you may remember it in the Apple Canada parking lot. It ran 290k km's - 200k miles. Only started rusting when I used a pressure washer on it. Just before I traded in in it's 15ht year of everyday driving, I had the cylinder compression tested and it was great. My mechanic said it would have gone another 150k....klicks. Those old Chrysler inline 6 was a great engine.

Well, a Jeep isn't a car. We will ask about trucks tomorrow.

Mustang----Its been around in same body style and chassis since 2005.V6 is from Ford V6 engine family that is decended from Duratec going back over 10 yrs.Simple solid rear axle. Based on this I think it will out last Camaro,Charger, and Challenger.
