2013 Audi RS5 will Start at $69,795 - Pricing for 2013 S6, S7, S8 Also Announced

HERNDON, Virginia — The updated 2013 Audi RS 5, an Audi A5-based performance coupe, starts at $69,795, including an $895 destination charge, said Audi in its release of 2013 model year pricing.

The 2013 Audi RS 5 is more expensive than two of its chief competitors, the 2013 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and the 2012 BMW M3 Coupe. The 2013 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG starts at $64,935, including a $905 destination charge and a $1,700 gas-guzzler tax. The 2012 BMW M3 Coupe starts at $62,295, including an $895 destination charge and a $1,300 gas-guzzler tax. Audi's USA configurator does not show a gas-guzzler charge on the RS 5.

The RS 5 gets a high-tech all-wheel-drive system that features a crown-gear center differential, which Audi says can widely vary the distribution of torque between the front and rear axles. "If necessary, up to 70 percent can flow to the front or as much as 85 percent toward the tail end," said Audi in a statement.

The company said the 2013 Audi S8 4.0T quattro will start at $110,895, including shipping, when it debuts here in the fall.

The 2013 Audi S6 4.0T quattro will start at $72,795, including shipping, when it arrives in showrooms in the fall.

The 2013 Audi S7 4.0T quattro will start at $79,695, including shipping, when it arrives in showrooms in the fall.

Probably about the same as the S6. C/D tested the S6 in the M5/E63 comparo from last month.

i hate audi's website !!! you have to go to the a5 to see the rs5 yet the s5 has a seperate section for itself and the convertible ??
2 days ago i was pissed when i called an audi dealership asking how much was a white rs5 i saw in the parking lot and he said " 91k" when i configured every possible option is was like 87,500.
audi dealers SUCK !! ( love the cars though )

The thing, RS5, doesn't even have a manual. And for that I almost hate it.

As much as I like Audi and the Audi RS5 I would rather spend that money on a slightly use Nissan GT-R that does 0-60 in 2.7-3.0s and 1/4 in 10.9-11.3s and have better quality and reliability as well.

And please don't give me this B.S. how the GT-R is a Nissan and what about the Audi? Isn't it a glorify VW anyway?

FYI, the Nissan GT-R or Skyline when it first came out about 20 years or so ago was the FIRST legal Super sports car to run the Famous Nurburgring in under 8 minutes mark.

I'm not completely sold on the RS5 just yet. It still looks like it could lose some weight and look much more aggressive... But I'm sure I will think differently when I see one speeding down the highway...

Exorbitant Audi RS5 price consistent with BMW M3 exorbitant price.

Price of admission keeps the riffraff out of the game. No Barry oblamer entitlement voters driving these machines.

I absolutely agree. Its good to price exclusivity, otherwise, everyone would be out getting one...

I guess there won't be any bamboozled "I too will get rich from trickle-down economics" Romneyphiles buying this machine either. It would be nice if the majority of stories here could remain focused on cars rather than being tainted by angry bigots that feel the need to turn every topic into an assault on peoiple's politics or socio-economic status.

The truth always hurts, doesn't it regressive leftie?
You better buy (or have the government send you one) a dictionary since you clearly are clueless as to the definition of a bigot.
Here's what you are: a blatant hypocrite.

AMG/M=better performance/lower cost..RS are overpriced, and over weight..making them the perfect poser car.
