What Car Will Do MORE For The Brand? Dodge Dart Or Cadillac ATS?
Two cars that can arguably be considered two of the most important launches this year are the all-new Dodge Dart and all-new Cadillac ATS. Obviously they both have different missions but have tremendous meaning for their marques going forward.

First, the Dart. It's largely based off it's Italian cousin, the Giulietta, and is slated to have a monster showdown with cars like the Hyundai Elantra, Honda Civic, Ford Focus and Chevrolet Cruze. After years of entry-level products like the Neon, this Chrysler Group product is head and shoulders better than its previous products. 001 even gave it a proper nod of approval.

But does it have what it takes to take on its rivals AND will it be the volume player Dodge is hoping it will be?

Next up is the Cadillac ATS. Now this is a product that General Motors has been amping up for quite some time. It has to deliver. With all those videos from the Nurburgring development testing, Cadillac has straight-up said it was taking on the BMW 3-Series. Of course if it succeeds it will be a landmark moment not just for Cadillac but for the entry-level premium car class.

That said, if the car does not succeed, what will that mean for Cadillac? Does it have anything to lose as-is?

What say you, Spies?

They'll each likely sell very well with the Dart serving as a harbinger of some really great Dodge product we'll soon be seeing, and the ATS affording Cadillac the ability to gain even more ground towards regaining their 'Standard of the World' crown.

Nice Job To Both Companies.

Oh my frickin' lord. How many more ATS articles (5 of the last 12 articles are on the ATS) are we going to see on this site in less than a few days? Did Cadillac write a bigger check than BMW this month or something?

Because the embargo on test drives was just lifted -- it's the same when any new model is released...just ignore the articles if you don't like them...what a whiner...

tiguan... Thats true. At least this is about cars, not about some freaking convention full of freaks or about Hollywood stars who did something and the news just happen to involve a car... WTF?!?

But this is excessive...

Well about Dodge is embarrassing because they need to use an Alpha model and just design the tail light , they also use a hyundai transmission , about Cadillac embarrassing too because the just one action to follow a lider brand on sport sedan that's just make you a loser, and also increase the reputation of the real one BMW, sorry.
For years some reputation brands try to copy BMW in special 3 series which is an icon , Lexus, infinity,Acura and now Cadillac in 2012 , even the actions to make a copy isn't that easy. when engineers of the real one expend years and use theirs brain to make this masterpiece and also an icon that is well know all over the world. So BMW 3 series customers never have to feel afraid or worried like a competitios said we feel more proud that ever to be an owner of the real icon. They just make an effort to be good as the real one.

pepito66 is right in some way but not totally. BMW have several years trying so hard have luxury cars as MB and still ALWAYS behind the S king. Does that means that BMW is a loser following the leader...No way.....MB still trying to match the M3 ..and is still not reaching the track performance of the M3 , does that means that is a Loser ?...nope. Cadillac is doing Great rising the bar...
