The 2013 Lexus LS Comes OUT From HIDING & The Agents Have The Pics - A GOOD Move In The RIGHT Direction?
Though Agent 009 gave us a taste of what was to come with the full frontal of the 2013 Lexus LS F Sport, the car's now doing the FULL monty. That's right. She's been exposed.

While we weren't sure what to expect from Lexus with its flagship product, it's clear that this isn't an all-new vehicle but rather a refresh, "facelift," life cycle impulse or whatever you'd like to call it.

Now the LS will boast the "hour glass" shaped grille, boast new front and rear fascias, new front and rear lights -- it appears to be LEDs up front and LED(?) tubes in the rear --, a new hood, updated side skirts and a bunch of other little changes. Can you spot them all?

The F Sport package obviously dials up the sport quite a bit with a more aggressive body kit and wheels.

NO details have been revealed, but stay tuned for when we expect some formal announcement come Monday.

We think that the BIG news about the update is, of course, the more aggressive exterior enhancements; however, if you look closely you can see that the interior has been reworked a bit. Expect the GS' widescreen navigation to make an appearance and we're speculating some updated bits. That's a good thing because the LS was definitely starting to get that dated look on the inside and its interior was really starting to pale when compared to its rivals.

All of that said, is the UPDATED look a move in the RIGHT direction for Lexus OR is it possibly going to alienate its loyal buyers who prefer the subtle, conservative designs of yore?

What an idiot... If what you say is true its more of a why fix what ain't broke? You have your opinion but this car looks nothing like the previous LS. I love the design of the grille and the headlamps look good with the leds.

it's the same car...chassis, engine, mechanicals, basic body. the automotive world has evolved since 2006. your logic is very backward...things should just stay the same?

This 'refresh' will have a new suspension, new interior with all new electronics, and new front and rear exterior. A new engine should come around the corner in the next year or so.

Well, it IS a refresh of the 2006 XF40. It is handsome, but not outstanding. Which may be perfect for the segment. Definitely looks better than previous versions. But actually hadn't realized it's been 6 years since the LS has gotten a complete makeover, and this one is more of a refresh. I think lexus has adopted Mercedes' previous model cycle.

Ok so the interior will be new, but the rest of the car is just a face list and the same skinny tires. Disappointing!

This new Lexus LS doesn't stand a chance against the upcoming Mercedes S-Class.

Nice updates. I like the styling changes especially the F-sport looks very stylish and aggressive. No more conservative and lazy looking. New LS looks sporty and fresh.

I like it since it looks like a sportier version than mine. Is it me or do the tail lights look like BMWs new tail lights?
It seems to me LEXUS is using the same strategy as AUDI. All their models look like elongated versions of each other (A4>A6>A8). I am assuming the new IS will be a mini GS (IS>GS>LS?).

...this thing will be striking to see in person. Lexus is warming up!

Too bad Lexus made the headlights more generic looking. I quite liked the previous ones. Now they simply look like the IS and the GS. Looks like the new ES took the LS's lights.

wow crazy hostility here! So the car is a refresh... who knows why but the nose is hot but im not feeling the ES back... I wish they update the rear fender/taillight area... I hate that curvey line. For the people screaming S class... It also looks like a refresh... The only car that looks pretty sweet on the road right now is the A7... It has character over the A8.

Meh...

While I see the new Lexus "family design" look (think Audi) of the new GS and ES and now LS....we'll see what the interior looks like and if there are changes to the engine, new features and technologies, etc. or is this just the "same (old) girl with a new dress"?

Its not a refresh. It's not a face lift. It's new. All the details from the pics should make that clear (front, fenders, trunk, exhausts). They just didnt change the side profile, and that was never a weak spot anyway.

you're smoking the lexus pipe. even their own description talks only about a grille, taillamps and other refresh items.

it's the same chassis, engine, basic body and pretty much everything else since 2006. at 7 years it was time for an all-new car.
