Shedding some extra fat is never a bad thing. Hopefully the new F150 will be safer in crashes than some of their previous models.

Along with others I doubt it will be super aluminum intensive as some claim.

I agree. Extensive use of aluminum would be cost prohibitive and overkill for a vehicle in this class.

I think Ford will turn to better engineering of the vehicle and less dependent on gimicks like "quiet steel".
