That is what I have read. For the V8 version the performance should slot between the Porsche GT3 and the Porsche 911 turbo.

At least 420 (425 also likely) and definately 2 seats.

From the shape and some attributes remind me of the Audi TT/Lamborgini/new Evo (with the front lights). Perhaps the rims look like the ones from the Gallardo. From the sideview the rear looks like a lamborgini to ME. Looks good but will it really be able to compete with the cars from MB, BMW, Porsche, Lamborgini, Ferrari, Maserati despite the fact it has racing inspiration from Le Mans.

Don't you have an Audi. For the money that you used to buy it, you could have gotten a Cadillac CTS-V with 60 more hp, but you didn't. The R8 will offer a much better interior, stunning design and other things that the Corvette will be missing, and it will not be much slower. It might have less hp, but the performance won't be that far behind. The RS4 with 20 more hp but about 700 more pounds of weight than the regular Corvette has only slightly slower acceleration times. Sure, the R8 won't match the Z06 on the hp for the dollar ratio, but most won't either. If you want an awesome hp/performance per dollar you should consider a kit car, it will be cheaper/faster than the Z06 but you will have tradeoffs. I bet you would pick the Z06 against a kit car. The R8 and the Z06 follow a similar price. Also, the 100k price is rumored, but isn't confrirmed. Also, the Ford Mustang Shelby 500 has more hp than the regular Corvette (100 more) but is no faster, sometimes horsepower isn't everything.

here it comes again... bang for buck... what the heck is wrong with you people? If its Bang for the Buck you want, buy a Bugatti... its the only car that you can get that hits 2.5 0-62 and 400+kph... and its only 1 million... Buts its worth it... its the ultimate bang for the buck...

Heres another one, get a motorcycle... only a couple of thousand and get fast 0-60...a better yet, Bicycle... for around $200, you could go close to or exceed 70 kph peddling fast and going downhill... thats real bang for the buck.... dummies....

PS. how about a NASCAR's 750hp but only does 0-60 in high 4s and top speed of only 190... I would have expected HP to be everything...

I don't know about the grill, but a bigger one like the current Audis would look more aggressive. From the door back, it looks nice.

no the R8 will come in under 100 k with the RS4 motor

look for about 10 k less then the 911

The V10 will be over 100k to go up on the Porsche turbo but be about 10 k less I bet
