The union sees a winning strategy in depicting the right to unionize freely as a basic civil right. The tactic could resonate at the Canton, Mississippi plant where an estimated 70 percent of the workforce is black.

The problem is that might have been an easier sell in the 60's. Now the average worker is much smarter and doesn't fall for it. Especially when they know they have a reliable and fair job.

Detroit worker have just been on the gravy train too long to see reality.
