SPIED: Next-Gen M3 Shows Us A Bit More Of Its NEW Face
As with every BMW M product, it's hotly anticipated debut cannot come soon enough. Forums are on fire with speculation and commentary from just about every direction; however, we're all just awaiting one thing: The first glimpse at everyone's favorite M. The M3.

While some have speculated that it will take some creative license from both the 2011 BMW 1M and it's "air curtain," other have noted it appears that there will be some -- for lack of a better descriptor -- "flaps," in the large air intakes that flank the large "mouth."

The last images we had showed -- in decent detail -- what the new front valence will look like but it was covered with a piece of cloth.

The latest images show the M3 sedan testing in Death Valley sporting the typical, swirly camouflage; however, the front valence is a bit more exposed.

I wonder how this new BMW M3 is going to compare against the Audi RS5, MB C-Class AMG63 and the next Lexus IS-F. If you have a good paying job and can afford one of this baby you're one luck person ; )

I mean some of us earn everything we have while others are luck enough enough to have a rich family or win a lottery jackpot ; ) Whatever the case maybe enjoy your ride.

I am confused as to why you want to know how it will compare, since the current M3 has bested the RS5, C63 & Lexus IS-F in every comparison test that has been done.

Winning every single one is exaggerating. But it certainly has own most of the comparison tests.

I know it's more fun to drive around the track than the sports car that I mention above. But the other sports car beat it in the 0-60 and 1/4 race right? No matter what I am pretty sure it will be a really fun car to drive.

M3 has lost to C63 almost every time in straight line, but in many tests, M3 was on par with RS5 and ISF if not faster.

@cyberlancer: if by "crushed" and "whipped" you mean lost then you're right, otherwise it would be nice to see any proof you have of the M3 losing so many comparison tests.

The most respectable and popular motoring journals in the world consistently rate the M3 as best in class. Car and Driver have had rated it as top of it's class for years.

Even Jeremy Clarkson, who is a HUGE fan of the C63, has said the M3 is still the one too beat, this in the face of the new RS5 and the IS-F.

That's not to say the others are bad cars, I am big fan of the C63 and the old RS4 but as an all-rounder the M3 is the best.

I'm sorry but anyone who reads a variety of motoring publications would you at your statement and come to only one of 2 conclusions.

A) You don't know what you are talking about

OR

B) You're delusional

cyber lancer ? What are you speaking about? Crushed the New M3? when? In regards to the C63, I think you were mistaken as the M3 whipped the Mercedes around the track. In a straight line to 60 it is usally a couple tenths here or there & the quarter mile the mercedes has been as much as a .05 seconds faster, yet on a race track the M3 has bested all the competition by as much as 4 seconds against the IS-f, 2 seconds vs the RS5 & the mercedes C63. That is huge in racing.

Yet you would know that if you actually read the articles

I'm not impressed by these camo pics so far - looks like a standard 3er with larger front air dams.
