Cadillac Worried That CTS Is Getting Lost In The Shuffle

The best car in Cadillac's recent history may be facing its worst couple of years, as the luxury brand adds new models that could squeeze the CTS from above and below.

"It's a challenge," said analyst Rebecca Lindland of IHS Automotive. "The CTS was the sexy newcomer a couple of years ago. It was the darling of the Cadillac showroom. Suddenly it's the middle sister, easy to overlook."

A surprisingly well written article with the Cadillac people saying how it really is. It certainly will be somewhat of a challenge to move the CTS up a class in the next generation.

I think overall problem for the CTS is that it was the only car (relevent car) in Cadillac's line up so it had to be everything in one, and so it was a "Jack of all trades, master of none" car. Now with the XTS, ATS and CTS in the line up, it allows these cars to specialize in something more...

This is better for Cadillac and will prove successful, if they can get away from their current design language. While its unique and cutting edge, it ages and gets boring really quickly...
