When YOU Valet YOUR Car, Do YOU Think The TIP Matters? How MUCH Is Enough?

When YOU Valet YOUR Car, Do YOU Think The TIP Matters? How MUCH Is Enough?
While we all know you likely shouldn't trust a valet too much, at the end of the day if you're in a major city on a frequent basis, you likely will not be able to avoid using a valet. It's not too often you come across a do-it-yourself parking garage, at least I haven't in my adventures in New York.

Anyhow, we all know it's a give-in that you have to throw down a tip if you want your car not:

A) Buried in the back of the lot, or
B) Beat on

Though something tells me if you roll up with something nice enough, there's a good shot it'll get beat on anyhow. I mean, how many YouTube videos have you seen of a parking attendant having some fun?

Anyway, this boils down to one thing: The tip.

That has me wondering several things.

Do YOU tip when you drop the car off?

Do YOU tip when you pick the car up?

What's a reasonable tip in your neighborhood?

Does a tip really matter these days? In these economic times?

As you can see from my cover shot, anything's possible if you just know how to treat folks right.

Spies, discuss!

Just how much of a tip do you get for your Kizashi?

Valet? Pay someone (usually a tool) to drive my car? It falls in the same category of visiting a car wash - won't do it.

When I tip depends. I do not tip the valets in my building as their compensation is derived from my HOA fee. Although I do intend to get them each a nice holiday gift.

When I am out I do tip when I pick my car up. If they are nice I tip $20.

The tip is just to show you're not cheap.
