BMW To Offer M Performance Version Of Z4 Ahead Of Major Redesign
BMW is putting the finishing touches to a facelifted BMW Z4 ahead of its expected Detroit motor show launch in January. The revised model is due on sale in the UK next April.

Only light exterior styling tweaks and small changes to the roadster’s interior will distinguish it from today’s three-year-old model.

However, plans for a new range-topping M Performance model look set to give the Z4 a timely image boost in the absence of a full-blown Z4 M to go up against the likes of the Audi TT RS roadster, Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG and Porsche Boxster S.

A little late to the game...the SLK AMG has loved this market for years along with Porsche

SLK and Boxster just don't appeal to me much... I really enjoy the drive comfort and dynamics of the Z4. The 2.0l motor is plenty of pep for daily driver. More power and a better exhaust note will be fun though for sure. They need better gauges as they are starting to look cheap and out of date.

Drove a 2nd gen Z4, very cramped and underpowered, so this look like it'll be an improvement on the power side.

current model is overweight and badly balanced. M version needs to lose weight with better suspension tuning.
