Could This Be What Lexus' X3 Killer Will Look Like?
As we get closer to the 2012 Paris Motor Show, a certain speculative Japanese mag has published another interpretation of a sub RX looking vehicle. Some say it's a hot version of the hot selling CT 200h compact luxury hybrid, others are thinking it's a BMW X3 & Benz GLK fighter.

Whatever this vehicle maybe, the luxury CUV market is emerging and Lexus should offer a vehicle in a category they practically invented.

A WRX with LEXUS badges? Who are they building this car for?

Please do not sully the WRX brand by comparing it with a Lexus in any way except a shared shareholder.

X3 or X1? Get your cars straight. Looks more like a hatchback than a CUV. I'd call it more of an IS hatch.

The new head of Toyota is a family member...while I'm a big BMW fan/buyer I always invest in companies where a founder is active because it means no more commitees but that one man's will be done (aka Porsche, Honda, BMW, Apple, Microsoft, etc) Once professional management takes over its time to sell. Don't count Toyota/Lexus out over the next ten years.

Looks definitely small, but I hope it won't be. It would suck if it's the same size of the Infiniti EX, that car is just ugly.

Lexus make this car big enough to be the size of an X6, or FX. Make it a rear wheel layout, big and fat tires, great power and performance and it will be a great hit.

You are clearly not thinking with a business mind. The sketch/render neither gives the appearance of being the size of an Infiniti FX or BMW X6, nor does Toyota have a RWD/AWD capable car based SUV platform.

If Toyota green lit this project, it is obvious they would be going after a younger buyer than their current crop, which means: no more than $35k, smaller than the RX and it needs to be sporty and not just look sporty.

...Looks pretty wicked with that new spindle grill which position the upcoming Lexus cars to have a pretty strong visible image appeal on and off paper. Great move with the new look Mr. Akio Toyoda!

Looks like the Nissan Juke and current Lexus RX had a baby.
