REVIEW: Acura RDX gets lukewarm review in USA Today

I thinks it attractive, but its not practical...but neither is the BMW X3.

Very boring car...

That milage is really poor. Probably because of lack of experience with turbocharged engines.

Well I am not in love with the looks and the mileage is poor for that engine, but they are pumping a lot of power. Doesn't engine have more torque than any other Honda/Acura engine?

The very comparably rated engine in the Mazda CX-7 has the same EPA ratings as the RDX. Similar horsepower, similar torque, both on premium fuel. So Mazda could do no better than Acura with mileage under similar conditions.

It is supercharged, but Suburu makes 300 hp out of 2.5 liters and the Evo has 280+ out of two. Pontiac gets 260 out of 2. But all of those engines are for sporty cars and wouldn't fit a cute ute. 240 hp out of 2.3 liters is about average for a factory turbo job. The torque of 260 is nie though.

You can get a lot more for your money in a Toyota RAV4.

I don't know, anyone who think this thing justifies it's $34k price tag is clearly in need of some mental counseling. There is no reason to me, to choose this over an X3, or better yet a small luxury wagon, such as the A4 Avant.

What's the appeal to having this thing, with basically no cargo room?

It actually has quite alot of cargo space. It has more than the BMW X3! It's a better bu considering in the BMW X3 youo only get a little bit of power out of that V6. A V6 would be too close to the X5 and there for will loose sales for the X5. I have to say the RDX looks light years better in person! It's much nicer. It might appear rough and rugged in the photos, but its not in person!

Nice interior. The exterior is HORENDOUS!! Whats up with Acura's designers??? They all need to be fired.

Catrash - Even though the RDX falls short of cargo volume by like 3 ft. The Acura is a better buy! The styling is origiginal and not weird, it has a turbo-charged engine, and lots of torque!

The RDX has a more reliable reeputation although it hasn't even come on sale yet. You know BMW aren't the most reliable cars.

I just want to see what Volkswagen is brewing up with the Tiguan! Is it going to be an X3 fighter or a RAV-4 fighter. If it's a RAV-4 fighter then they should lower the Toureg to the Jeep Cherokee/Dodge Durango level.

Try equipping an X3 comparably (even though comparable is relative since BMW technology sucks i.e, navi, bluetooth, audio, etc) and you will end up spending a lot more for a lot LESS car. Also, RDX comes with standard 18"s - something that BMW makes you get the "sports package" for - what is so sporty about it anyway, besides the wheels.

X3 looks like it was designed by the Stazi in about 1982 - especially the navi and the steering wheel. Interior surfaces are cheesy too.

RDX is exactly what Acura marketing is pushing: "Technocharged" It's awesome!
