SKETCHED OUT: Bentley Has A New Drop-Top In The Works & It WAS At Monterey This Weekend!
One problem with the car being at Monterey this weekend though -- it was secretly unveiled to only a select few. According to reports from abroad, Bentley showed off a concept Mulsanne Convertible to customers far from prying eyes.

Think of it as the replacement for the top-notch Azure or as some would say "the proper Bentley."

Likely it will largely be based off the Mulsanne sedan, funky headlights, massive old-school six and three quarter liter V8 and all. Considering word on the street suggesting that Bentley will ditch it's infamous powerplant, this could very well be one of the last Bentley's equipped with the 6.75-liter eight cylinder.

Bentley has lifted the lid on its stunning new Mulsanne Convertible. A concept version was revealed to a select group of customers in a behind closed doors event at the recent Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California.

No one outside that room will see the actual car just yet, but Bentley has provided us with these official sketches...

...The design is inspired by the Park Ward S1 Drophead Coupe of the fifties...

Bentley, sorry, but that's a shortened Cadillac Ciel. Looks very 'copy cat' to me.

It looks exactly how a shorter Bentley Mulsanne with no roof would look like. It also looks a lot like a Bentley Brooklands coupe with no roof that has been updated to look a bit sharper.

I am with @chewy on this one.

This car, when not sketched, will be much more massive while the Cadillac Ciel is moreso a low and slinky vehicle -- granted, it is a concept.
