UK Speeder Almost Outruns Police Helicopter In High Speed Chase With His Audi RS5

A getaway driver caught speeding at 180mph while almost outrunning a police helicopter was jailed for nine years today.

Car dealer Ben Westwood, 33, clocked the astonishing speed in a stolen £85,000 Audi RS5 during a 65-mile police chase.

The luxury supercar had been modified with a Lamborghini engine and high-powered racing brakes and had a top speed of 200mph.

Horrified traffic cops were forced to abandon their pursuit of getaway driver Westwood as he hit 180mph on the M6 motorway.
