Bimmerfest East 2012: We Show YOU All the Action And The BEST Photos From The BimmerFest East Show
As you likely know by now, thanks to our other coverage, yesterday I spent the day in Aberdeen, Maryland at Bimmerfest East 2012.

Filled to the brim with BMWs of all ages, models, mods and taste, it was an exceptional event for the BMWphile. Although cliche, the best way to describe the event was "there was something for everyone."

And while thousands of folks crammed into the Ripken Stadium parking lot, we're pretty sure a lot of folks missed out on this two-of-a-kind event -- the other Bimmerfest is held in SoCal, right in 001's stomping grounds.

That said we shot over 425 images for your viewing pleasure to BRING you to the show.

Make sure to check out the very BEST, right here on AutoSpies.com

Stay tuned for more Bimmerfest East 2012 coverage!

@tonyluigi

I wouldn't exactly classify BMW's as the ghetto ride of choice; however, I will say that a lot of folks just happen to be embracing a more urban look with their vehicles, particularly the younger generation of owners.

Check out our VW Waterfest gallery to see what I mean...

Gay or straight, that shouldn't be a topic of discussion.

Frankly, it's a pretty immature/lame thing to classify an event with a negative connotation because you do NOT agree with someone's personal taste in their modifications on a vehicle they bought with their hard-earned dollars.

There's no problem with expressing your differing point of view; however, when race/sexual orientation/religion becomes a part of the context with a slant on hate, that's needs to be "corrected."

I used to think of BMW as a respectable automaker with deep motorsport heritage. While it still continues to have a somewhat rich history of motorsport success, it seems to no longer be relavent in the motorsport world.

Only a pair of measely E92 M3s seem to have any success lately, with a pair of M3 GT4 or Z4 GT4s having sporadic victories. This, I feel, translate to a loss of identity. It was always that sporty brand and now I feel that all BMW does is hope its fan base will come back to buy. With all the great offering from its competitors, the product offering from BMW does not stand out.

As for Bimmerfest, like Waterfest, its a grassroots gathering of enthusiasts and car lovers who appreciates a used 325i as much as a brand new 2013 M6... This is what its always been about and every enthusiast has their own way to appreciate the ca and each car is their own canvas to express their love of the car.
