Mazda finally ends the photo striptease and exposes the entire redesigned, 2014 Mazda6 midsize sedan.

Its unveiling at the Moscow International Automobile Salon today highlights the importance of the Russian auto market to car companies. And it caps what's become the auto industry's routine of handing out photos of parts of the car, leading up to the to-da! moment at some auto show.

U.S. sales begin "early next year," is as specific as Mazda will be.

Will have to see how it handles, performance and economy, once it makes it over here.

STUD! Looks better than the Accord, Camry, and Sonata. Good battle with the Optima.

Looks great... And at that price point, I think Mazda has a winner in its stable...

I have to agree. Originally when I looked at this car I thought the rear might be a bit too plain. However I've warmed up to it.What's interesting is that it is not radically different than the 2012 6 in looks but actually it manages to look way more sophisticated and more curvy. What really impresses me is that it weighs in at 3100 LBS. That is very light for a sedan that is 191 inches long. Also I read that the power specs for the 2.5 Russian engine version are less than what will be certified for the North American version. If this car with the 2.5 puts out close to 200 HP in a car this light it should have some scoot to it.Also it bodes well for handling and stopping. It will be interesting to see how they do a hi-performance version. My understanding is that the skyactive engines cannot take turbocharging. I'm guessing Mazda may go to a higher performance turbo diesel and AWD.

Stud. Mazda does amazing work in their segment. Simply the best of the Asian cars.
