VIDEO: The 2013 Range Rover Becomes MORE Earth Friendly BUT The North American Market Misses Out On ONE Thing
If you were to associate Range Rover one thing, what would that be?

Likely, I would guess you'd pick something like "off-road capability," or "luxury." Prior to the all-new 2013 Range Rover, Earth-friendly just wasn't one of the vehicle's critical points.

It is now, though.

And if you watch the clip below, you hear Range Rover's folks discuss how it is a such a changed product with a new focus on being eco friendly. AND there's been confirmation of a diesel-hybrid model that will be available to certain markets -- there's just one catch.

North America isn't one of them.

That being said, are you disappointed with this decision?

The All-New Range Rover brings unique styling to an already iconic vehicle. Our designers and engineers explain all of the thoughts and considerations that went into creating a stylish, lighter and more earth-friendly luxury SUV.

Definitely disappointed that the Diesel-Hybrid powertrain is not making it to the U.S.

I'm more saddened by the design of the front end which is too conservative. The designers of this vehicle did an amazing job of capturing traditional Range Rover styling cues, while presenting a fresh and bold styling language. The side and rear profiles are amazing. The front is a total let down.

What a shame. They say its because the Diesel doesn't pass our emissions. Being that it is a hybrid and will not be running all of the time and the significant advantage in fuel economy you'd think we would make an exception, since overall I am sure it will still emit less emissions than the V8 does.
