RENDERED SPECULATION: Is THIS The BEST Rendering Of The Updated E-Class' Face?
As we've spotted testing in Germany, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is set to receive a series of updates. This is normal as every vehicle goes through a mid-life refresh or as some would say, per the marketing department, a "life-cycle impulse."

But this Mercedes' is a little bit different than other standard refreshes.

That's because from all the spy images we've seen, as of late, the E-Class is slated for a BIG change to its facade. The iconic look, with its four headlights, has its days numbered as Mercedes appears to have moved on from that distinction.

No one has captured this quite so well as the vehicles we've noticed are camouflaged; however, an artist from Auto Bild has put together what may be considered the BEST rendering of the upcoming E-Class.

"I know many claim that the 2nd gen GS copied Benz with the amber inset quad lights, but if I recall it was the SC300/400 that first debuted them (1992) before the E-class went from a single lense with 2 lights inside to the current quad you see today."

Wrong. The Mercedes E class of the 1970s, the W123, had quad headlights long before Toyota slapped a Lexus badge unto the Soarer.

I emailed a picture of the 2013 brochure MB, that clearly shows no change to the lights. LOL

I do hate the fact Lexus moved away from it's original 2 front lights, but MB stuck with it people think it was MB that started it.

Hope they keep it, somehow it wouldn't feel like an E class without those.
