FIRST Real-Life Photos Of The 2013 Range Rover's INTERIOR
Now if you weren't so impressed with what Range Rover has done with the 2013's exterior, then you have yet to see its interior. As they say, that's where the magic happens.

Being that there were a few all-new Range Rovers on the premises, Land Rover gave us a pretty good showing of what can be possible with each vehicle having a different "vibe." Take, for example, how there is a peanut butter-colored Autobiography edition interior with wood accents, a vanilla-colored interior trimmed with carbon fiber, and an Autobiography edition that features black hides with black wood.

It seemed readily apparent that the 2013 Range Rover's interior is heavily influenced from its sister brand, Jaguar. Obviously, it takes a bunch of cues from the flagship luxury sedan, the XJ. Note the plush carpets that feature piping, the carbon fiber trim -- which can be had on an XJ --, and the seats that appear to be lifted straight from the Jag.

A couple of little "easter eggs" presented themselves as well. Check out that metallic outline of the all-new Range Rover in the B-Pillar door jams, or how about the "Autobiography" stamped into the wood. Pretty neat little touches.

Then there's the infotainment unit, which is flanked by what can be best described as two vertical black panel displays with touch sensitive "buttons." The couple of minutes I spent toying around with the infotainment unit certainly won't do its capabilities justice. To understand the depth of what I am on about, look below at how many camera angles you can choose from to improve visibility whether in a parking lot or off road.

There's plenty to look at, so get started below...

I have to admit, that's a pretty sick looking interior on that car, first time I've actually wanted to possibly own one of these things.

Top notch interior! I just dont really know about the leg room for the second row seats. Hope it is a lot bigger in real life.

This is closer to ugly than even being nice, plus there is so little leg room in the rear seats. The current model has more space, unless it's the pictures not showing it right?

In the vehicle's defense, for the most part they were turned off and the seats were put in a pretty far back position. People weren't actively adjusting them unless they powered the RR on.

I really don't like the carbon fiber in the interior. But I do like the interior overall. I also agree with Designer1 there does look to be a small amount of space in back. The current also seems short on legroom in back to me too.

I have to say that I think Mercedes did a much better job with the update of the GL than was done to this RR. The styling of the headlights and taillights look contrived and too Explorer-like. The interior though nice, looks almost sterile. And that 2nd row seat looks way too tight on legroom (and if the fronts seats are in their rear-most position, then the front seats look like they'd be tight for anyone 6 ft or taller).

I like the previous dashboard in the last 2 models of the Range Rover better than this. Also I'm not a fan of blank touchscreens. I like real speadometers and tachometers.

Welcome to the future, @mini22. I believe it's safe to say most luxury automakers are heading towards TFT-LCD or black panel displays.

Like the interior and exterior of the outgoing RR more. Disappointed with the styling inside and out.

Agent00R-You are probably right. But of course Rolls Royce,Bentley represent the upper eschalon of not only British Luxury but luxury cars in general. Range Rover now plays in this arena and is charging lots of money for its products now. My point is this is a British Luxury vehicle. It is not a generic luxury vehicle. There is no reason why visual British character luxury needs to be toned down for an SUV.To me British luxury envoques the feeling of a British Pub with beautiful woodwork combined with lots of "real" chrome accents. The detailing is important bot inside and out. If you start taking that away because you cannot disguise electronic touch screens or infotainment systems then it's starts to lose the exclusivity or that bespoke quality that British luxury marquee's are famous for.The silouette of this car looks like a Ford Flex. The interior looks more generic luxury now than ever before. This vehicle, from what I've read, has fabulous engineering. However it's covered in an interior and exterior that simply looks to generic mainstream. Rolls and Bentley seem to do a better job of hiding
their electronic doodads much better than Range Rover. I think one reason why Maybach failed was for the price they were charging they were not special enough over the standard Mercedes 600. For me the Range Rover does not look special enough for it's price range anymore.

Are you sure that's not a Dodge Durango? That interior in grey is not very appealing. The whole effort inside and out ironically reminds me of ten years ago when we had to endure a decade of the Bangle butts where a great design family which had reached a pinnacle went horribly off the mark. When BMW had Range Rover they perfected the look and feel of these expensive SUVs just as they had the 7 Series back in the late '90s. Now with a new design team painted into a corner they change this handsome interior and exterior for the worse. Just as the 7 Series and 5 before it these cars will sell but for people who really know and love them this new design effort will live in infamy.
