GM Begins Study To Find Out Why Chinese Drivers Crash At Such High Rates

General Motors China, the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute and Tongji University in Shanghai launch a study of driver behavior in China, with a view to improving vehicle, driver and passenger safety.

The 3-year program will measure the responses and habits of 60 to 90 Chinese drivers in GM vehicles equipped with sensitive monitoring equipment. Each driver will be evaluated for a 3-month period and electronically collected data will be analyzed to establish detailed driver behavior patterns.

A lot of developing countries have trouble with drivers not obeying traffic laws. They view them as more of "guidelines". Red lights, stop signs, etc get ignored. I don't know if this is true for China, but I have a hunch.

Just filtering out the gene pool. The richest of these 3rd world country ppl are also the dumbest and least useful. So really, its Darwin's natural selection the dumbest segment of the population doesn't reproduce.
