EXCLUSIVE: First Photo Samples Of How The iPhone 5 Performs In NOT SO Perfect Lighting Conditions. Plus The Coolest Lexus Dealership On Earth.
Late Friday evening, we broke the most extensive gallery of iPhone 5 samples in our gallery and the response has been huge.

Over 100,000 views and counting!

And even now, we cannot find a LARGER set of sample photos anywhere.

But the key improvement on the new iPhone 5's camera is that it is supposed to perform better in low light.

NOT so perfect lighting conditions. The great nemesis of most digital cameras.

So how does the iPhone 5 do?

(Panoramic sample at night below)

Well, you'll see that it is definitely better than the 4s but don't worry Nikon and Canon just yet.

Your space is safe.

For now.

We'll go so far as to make a prediction that you're hearing FIRST here.

In 2013, look for Apple to stand the digital camera world on its ear with the MOST advanced pocket digital in history.

Imagine something like the Android camera just announced at PhotoKina but GOOD. With software capabilities never seen on cameras before. Kind of like how they changed the world of cellphone interfaces...

Kudos to Apple for the improvements and for what's in development.

The iPhone 5 is definitely the best low-light cell phone camera yet.

We're interested to see the new Nokia performance but that is not available to us yet.

Remember, megapixel stats don't tell the whole story on cameras.

Real-life samples do.

The Android cameras brag about high megapixels but in our tests they are NO match for the iPhone.

Especially when the lighting gets dicey.

Take a look at the samples and you decide.

And oh by the way that IS a Lexus dealership with a gourmet restaurant in the photos.

It's Lexus of Escondido and the restaurant is called Vintana.

We guarantee you that YOUR Lexus dealer is NO WAY as cool as this.

Definitely, the coolest Lexus dealership on the planet. Complete with their own JUMBOTRON mounted on the building!

We have put together the largest, most comprehensive set of iPhone 5 photo samples on the net for you to judge.

We did NOTHING to the photos. No tripods, no photoshop, nada. For better or for worse.

Just straight from iPhone 5 to our gallery. Pretty impressive in low light for a smartphone camera.

If we did retouch, we could have made them look MUCH better!

Special thanks to Lexus for use of the 2013 GS350 and to X-Doria.com for getting us some cool iPhone 5 cases FIRST!

001, the iPhone cannot natively watermark a photo, so you ran these shots through something. I don't know if it was an iPhone app (which I see they are available) or something outside the phone. But they did NOT come straight from the phone.

Not knocking the quality of the photos. However, you can't claim they are native photos when you have the Autospies watermark on each picture. I'm not saying you make any adjustments to the photos. Simply pointing out they've been processed.

That is correct. I should have said only watermark added and compressed in our system for publication. But NO photo manipulation to enhance them or make them look BETTER.

...Lexus is bent on making their mark in society even if it means defaulting Merc, BMW, Audi, Caddy and whoever customers. I'll take a trip down their just for the excitement. Go Lexus! Good pics Agent001 you're the man! You keep helping promote Lexus and who knows they might even put you in that new fully loaded GS350 F Sport you've been dreaming about lately and a dinner for 4 at the Vintana.

Has any automaker come up with a way to make it compatible with our cars yet? I plan on getting the iPhone soon and I want to make it compatible with my Mercedes.

Agent001 so where are the pictures of cars from Galaxy S3 or HTC oneX or any phone for that matter. Why so much publicity for Iphone?

@ monster

Honestly, what else would you really expect from pompous auto-reviewers located in California?!

We visited this dealership this summer and ate at Vintana, it was wonderful. Loved getting a closer look at the owner's LFA as well :)

@ Agent001

Maybe you should re-read the the article you submitted in the link because Gizmodo actually stated the GS3 was the best camera phone on the market currently (until the Nokia 808 Pureview is released). Just in case you skimmed over the entire article, below is the overall summary direct from Gizmodo.

OVERALL (copied in it's entirety from Gizmodo)
The iPhone 5's camera is a significant improvement from the iPhone 4S both in terms of image and video quality. It holds its own compared to the Samsung Galaxy S III—the top camera on a smartphone people are actually going to buy. Still, there's a lot of room for improvement. Apple really needs to add additional settings for darker conditions. Yes, our low-light test was extreme, but Apple can and should do better. In short, the iPhone 5 camera is better, and as before, it's suitable for snapshots. But if you're serious about good-looking memories, you should keep a point-and-shoot around. We're dreaming someday Apple will adopt a camera as good as the 808 PureView or the Canon S100. Sigh, someday.

I saw the examples and read it all.

TO my eye, the iPhone was excellent.

But when you combine the seamless way to edit the images, share the images, number of photo apps and that it just works, nothing comes close.

I will say the one thing I like on Samsung is the ability to shoot video and pick out frames for photos.

The Lumia 920 destroys the iPhone 5 in low light photos without flash

http://wmpoweruser.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/iPhone-5-vs-Nokia-Lumia-920.jpg

It also has optical image stabilisation which allows it to take blur free images everytime, and the smoothest video recording on any phone.

It's gonna come out in a month's time.
