What are the least reliable luxury cars?
When you spend $76,000 for a car, you expect it to be bulletproof.

What you don't expect is for Consumer Reports to call it "unreliable," and for J.D. Power and Associates to give it below average ratings across a range of manufacturing quality measures.

If 50% of the buyers have serious problems and only 50% are troublefree, then it's possible that you are one of the 50%.

Nevertheless, 50% is a very high number and unacceptable for luxury.

Interesting that there are four SUVs on the list, and no Mercedes.

Not interesting that Land Rover and Range Rover are very unreliable - we all know that.

Land Rover needs to have the plug pulled. Damn near bankrupted BMW, and isn't any better after Ford has had billions dumped into it.

plano, what are you talking about? land rover (while not that reliable) have managed to pull themselves back into cool, with the range rover, the best selling freelander (best sellling suv in europe for 4 years, in the uk for 5) , the new discovery and the rr sport, they have made huge increases in sales and image.
think how many more celebrities bought the range rover when it was released, it became THE car to have.
just because you may not see many doesn't mean they don't sell, like i said before, i live in west london (prime land rover territory) and i see loads, of all types. what other 4x4 has a badge like land rover? what other manufacturer can charge 75000 pounds for an suv? bmw managed to change land rover for the better, and now ford is reaping the rewards.
and land rover didn't nearly bankrupt bmw, rover nearly did, so they sold it for 10 pounds.
and if anyone blasts land rover, i'll be after them (being an avid land rover fan)

and plano, you like evidence so "In 2005 it was the most profitable part of Ford's Premier Automotive Group (PAG) brand portfolio."
you hate it when people say stuff that's wrong, and then you do it?

i know its bad but it is improving. the faults are mainly electronic now, which while annoying, aren't terrible.
air suspension is a bugger though.
took it out on my rangie (due to it bottiming out all the time), got coil springs and now it goes round corners properly. (as in not on its side windows)
but i can't make it go up and down anymore...
