CAR WARS! In The Showdown Of The Year, BMW's 3-Series Takes On The Cadillac ATS - AGAIN
If there are two cars that we can confidently say are going to have the battle of the year, it's the BMW 3-Series and Cadillac ATS.

You had to see that coming.

Remember, running up to the ATS' release, all Cadillac could talk about was its all-new 3-Series rival. Now we're finally starting to see the independent authorities do the testing. So far, the results have been interesting.

In the latest clip, some bad sideburns and analogies that try too hard come together for a Car and Driver shakedown in Virginia. Watch below to see how the BMW and Cadillac's all-new ATS shakes out.

The 2013 Cadillac ATS 2.0T tries to dethrone the 2013 BMW 328i from the front of the entry-level luxury segment on the latest episode of Car and Driver: Tested.

The reviews for the ATS just keep getting worse. This one was even more critical than the Motor Trend comparison. LOL @ S-H-I-T.

Are you sure you don't mean the 3-series reviews keep getting worse?

lost it's "ease" and "fun"
steering is less precise
braking softer
not as fun as "ATS"

Those are quotes from the review

I'll pick the caddy with automatic trans and paddle shifter...

As far as automatics, the BMW has it hands down, its shifts are much better and faster in manual mode than the ATS.

sorry, but doesn't look like a close battle in reality. They bitch about handling without getting the "FUN" suspension.

I don't know about the USA, but here in the UK the German 3 seem hell bent on offering the most soft ride possible as standard and then placing more sporty Suspension and Differentials on the "Options" list.

Obviously you pay extra for those.

What i am left wondering is why then would i still think that BMW is supposed to be the sporty vehicle if it is offered as standard as soft as the MB or Audi vehicles ?

Anyone who picks or even thinks a Governement Motors car even comes close to a BMW is probably smoking dope with president odumbo. His brain is cooked from years of drug addiction and he has wrecked GM.

Only the unknowledgable or ignorant can delude themselves into thinking a Caddy matches or exceeds (ha ha) the BMW. The Caddy is nothing but a dressed up Chevrolet and that is a fact.

GM is building better quality products than it ever has in the past. interior quality is much improved and for the first time they have a car that can legitimately compete with the BMW 3 series, and if the ATS is any indication of what the next CTS will be BMW better be on their game, or the other competitors better step their game up. I am not a GM fan at all, in fact I wouldn't buy any of their products, but fact is fact and the unbiased fact is GM has improved drastically. Problem is that people have that past of horrifically cheap interior and re-skinned outdated chassis.
