You Heard It Here FIRST! - Prediction: Look For Infiniti To Come After Lexus LF-CC With Emerg-e-like Coupe
One of the great things about AutoSpies is that not only do we have skin in the game, unlike the other guys, we also like to take risks and put our necks on the line.

We make predictions. And we enjoy doing it.

At the 2012 Paris Motor Show, it was very hard to NOT notice Lexus' all-new coupe concept, the LF-CC. I would argue that this would be, in fact, the next-gen IS coupe. This would square it up with the Infiniti G37.

The G37 Coupe is a vehicle that's a bit long in the tooth; however, it was an extremely competitive vehicle, especially when it was all new to the market. We think that after Lexus' more edgy looking LF-CC will inspire Infiniti to come out swinging with a coupe that's influenced by the Emerg-e's design.

Of course Infiniti won't build what is essentially a Lotus Evora and sell it at the G's price, it's literally impossible. However, you will likely see MANY of the futuristic, cool and downright sexy cues get lifted out of that product and put into the next G in production form.

What say YOU, Spies?

Wow, 00R, you're such a genius. It's not rocket science to make a pretty good educated guess that this LF-CC will be an IS coupe, considering its overall size and shape is similar to the current IS, and it essentially is an evolution of the current IS convertible. Not to mention the rear quarter window shape is identical to the shapes we've seen in spy shots of the new IS testing. Also it isn't rocket science to figure that Infiniti would use cues from its concepts like the Emerg-e and filter it to its sporty offerings.

Maybe you should run for president.

One big difference that LEXUS are able to fuse abstract element into form and practical design, while Infiniti is still stuck in literal form/silhouette, kinda like that of AUDI vs BMW/Mercedes.

Ferrari has certainly embarked on the trend of abstractness with F458. Just compare that with F430 and you know what I'm talking about.

If this is the upcoming IS coupe the emerg-e is in a different segement.

But you know what's really grinding my gears??? You guys just posted last week the new guy Infiniti hired from Audi said there is no plan to build the emerg-e because they are going to focus on the G.

Call me silly but I'm leaning toward the word of the new Vice President of Infiniti over the speculation in this Article.

Seriously??? You call that a prediction? Especially when you (Autospies) posted an article 3 days ago with the head of Infiniti Johan de Nysschen saying in reference to the emerg-e concept "The Emerg_e is not planned for future production at all...but it does offer an insight into our future powertrains and design direction. There will be strong cues in the G-series successor, particularly with the interior."

You heard it from me first... BMW will make a next generation 3 Series to replace the current generation. The M3 will be the performance version of the 3 series.
