Studies Indicate That Electric Cars Are Often Worse For Environment Than Traditional Models
Electric cars might pollute much more than petrol or diesel-powered cars, according to new research.

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology study found greenhouse gas emissions rose dramatically if coal was used to produce the electricity.

Electric car factories also emitted more toxic waste than conventional car factories, their report in the Journal of Industrial Energy said.

In Europe, where electricity is produced in a number of different ways, electric cars do offer environmental benefits when compared with cars with internal combustion engines, according to the study.

"Electric vehicles powered by the present European electricity mix offer a 10% to 24% decrease in their global warming potential relative to conventional diesel or petrol vehicles."

Ya this headline doesn't match the conclusions in the study.

Besides, is it electric cars that are bad, or is it dirty power plants? Scrubbing can reduce powerplant pollution significantly, as can CO2 capture. If you take the captured CO2 and inject it into the ground in the wells that used to contain natural gas, it's a win-win.

Electric is the future. Filthy disguting oil-powered garbage is past. Our grandchildren will spit on our graves for ruining their spaceship Earth!

the source of electricity is one issue and the other is the production process of the battery and the resources needed to electrify a vehicle, the MINI is greener than a Prius because of this

Not a surprise really. Instead of sending smoke out your tailpipe, the "power" for your vehicle sends smoke up a smokestack instead.

Just put solar panels on roofs and hoods and half the power is free.

Deja vu
The EV electric plant fuel is the pollutant determinant source.
