RENDERED SPECULATION: If This Is The BEST Corvette Rendering SO Far, Does It Get Two Thumbs UP or DOWN?
The Chevrolet Corvette is an American automotive icon. Sure, it's not built to do everything well but it does give just about every driver a smile when they get behind the wheel and give it the beans.

And that, my friends, is what a sports car is all about.

We reckon though that with the next-gen SRT Viper being MUCH more refined than its predecessors, the 'Vette will follow suit. At least we hope.

If you've been following the 'Spies recently though you would have caught some spy shots of the next-gen 'Vette undergoing testing -- the shot that appealed to my eye was one of the vehicle's hind quarters. With a centrally mounted, quad-tipped exhaust and some seriously hard lines, this Covette clearly had something edgy going on underneath the camo.

Thanks to an artist overseas, we now can imagine what it would look like and from what we've seen, we're thinking this is the BEST rendering thus far.

Even when you look at the front and the front clip design, which was "leaked" by one of General Motors' third-party suppliers, it looks relatively accurate.

That said, if this is what the C7 Corvette looks like in the flesh, will you give it two thumbs UP or two thumbs DOWN?

Look like the current Camaro to me except the one in the pictures has all of it exhausts in the center. FUGLY.

My advice to GM:

If you expect to sell any of these, LEAVE THE "CAMO" ON.

CARS ARE FUN

Rear end looks off, more like a next gen Camero rather than Vette. Look at the camo of the rear and it is apparent that tail lights are round, one red one backup much like Vettes over the years. Front end looks wierd relative to camo as well. Caddy rendering looks too pedestrian as well, more like a Chevy. Artist missed the boat here.

@Northstar

This isn't the first set of renderings depicting squared-off taillights and the blacked out "P" shape around the taillights.

I hope someone with more talent quickly produces another set of speculative renderings. These are FUBABs...

It looks like crap. Like the Caddy, though.

the only person who might think this is cool is married to a real housewife in New Jersey.

The problem with an icon is that its difficult to do a next generation
and GM has had the current shape out there a long time with a few tweaks, nothing compared to the switch in '63 from '62 for example. If
this a true rendering will have to see in the flesh before making a judgement but first impression is GM didn't go far enough changing the look.

There is a MUSEUM to these cars. This concept wouldn't even be admitted to the parking lot.

Wow~ The genius Government Motors designers have managed to design a plastic Camaro! Great job wrecking 60 years of Vette design charisma.

Guess no one at Government Motors posesses an ounce of creativity or originality. That's just the way Barry odumbo, the fool in chief likes 'em.

Who cares? Corvette is a car for sleazy men who cannot maintain an errection so that there girlfriends can show off. This kind of car is stuck in the 1950s with rasicm and homphobia. Burns fossil fuel at an alarming rate.

@ Skytop: If you think it's ok to keep destroying the Earth to indulge the sexual fantasys of old, rich white american men who drive this stone-age car, than you are a part of the problem. I can get thrills behind the wheel of a clean, smartEuro or Asian car without ruining the Earth for the next gen.
