OC AUTO SHOW: The All-New Audi RS5 Gets A "Flag Job," - What Say YOU?

For some reason, it seems that there is a correlation with high-performance cars and the need to provide it with some extra "flair."

With old-school muscle cars -- and today's retro throwbacks -- it's common to see vehicles with unique paint jobs and vinyl stickers. For some autos it makes sense. Take, for example, a Shelby Cobra. You can add a stripe or two and get away with it.

But how about today's modern, high-performance hardware?

Arguably one of today's hottest pieces of iron is the Audi RS5, which made an appearance at the 2012 OC Auto Show sporting what I'll call a "flag job." Courtesy of Audi's performance driving program, the Sportscar Experience, this red RS5 is wearing a flowing, checkered flag.

Now the question is: If this wasn't a promotional vehicle, would you EVER think of doing this to your daily driver RS5?

dont think its necessary, i think it ruins the pure beauty of the car..

Yeah, I have to say this is pretty awful.

But for promo/marketing purposes it's fine...I guess
