Can Cadillac Ever Become A Global Player In The Luxury Market?

Cadillac is going global — again.

Like an aging rock star, General Motors Co.'s luxury brand is plotting yet another comeback on the world stage, this time led by a telecommunications exec-turned-Washington lobbyist theoretically armed with a strong Cadillac lineup. I can hear the chortling all the way from Munich and Stuttgart, where they've seen this show several times before.

Could the ending be any different?

It could, if GM and the masters of Cadillac can replicate effectively the kind of long-term product development discipline and aggressive brand management the automaker and its rival, Ford Motor Co., devote to their lines of full-size pickups. If not — and there's a decent chance of that, considering past efforts — Cadillac-goes-global will be yet another laugher across the industry.

As long as Baroke Hussein Oblamer keeps forcing nationalized Government Motors into building "green" cars that don't work, spontaneously erupt into flames, break down, and really cost taxpayers a hidden $40,000. to cover the losses on each car, GM will NEVER be able to produce a world class car.
obama is a socialist democrat dreamer who DESPISES any fossil fuel vehicle and wants to penalize businesses with onerous taxes and regulations that will provide the liar in chief with more money to wastefully spend, use as payoffs to his communist union pals who will then illegally kick back to the thief in chief obama. GM is rapidly going broke again and will NOT be able to build any world class cars with the corrupt obama and the corrupt communist unions controlling GM. A pity. GM should have been allowed to go bankrupt and go through a healthy reorganization so that the goulish vampire obama could not get his claws on the wealth of GM and totally SCREW shareholders and investors out of their investments. obama has proven to truly be a thief, a crook, a low life Chicago thug devoid of ethics and any integrity.
