WHY Do People Do These DUMBASS Things To Their Rides? Which Mods Make YOU Want To Go BERSERK?

WHY Do People Do These DUMBASS Things To Their Rides? Which Mods Make YOU Want To Go BERSERK?
Custom add-ons or modifications on people's rides whether they are factory ordered or added after purchase can be a dual edged sword.

We all know that seeing an M-Sport kit add on or an S-Line package can add that finishing touch on an already beautiful vehicle.

But with every good side there is a bad one.

Just look at the photos in our galleries of cars with Mansory add-ons.

They will make any man SORRY when they see one.

But hey, we live in a free country and to each their own.

Well, we can forgive certain indiscretions but their are CERTAIN things that just drive us up a wall and we're sure they do the same to you.

That is, if you have any taste at all.

Case in particular, the stick-on Maserati/Buick style FAKE side vents shown on this idiots Jeep Cherokee that I snapped yesterday here in San Diego.

Do they honestly think someone will drive by and say "WOW, that dude has a MASERATI!"

For the LOVE OF GOD will someone please explain to us WHY people destroy their pride and joy with these HIDEOUS add-ons?

And tell us which ones you see that just make you want to scream #$%$%@#$# out the window when you see them driving?

Spies discuss....

There is a distinct possibility some people put on those add-ons you abhorred because they simply like the design and want to add it to their car, and because you associate certain design elements to a car doesn't meant that people who add those same elements to their car is looking to fool people into thinking they're driving something they're not. Not necessarily everyone is as obsessed about badges as others.

P.S. Mansory products are probably not tailored for clients nearing or at an advanced age, and some of their add-ons actually look good. As such, it all comes does to individual tastes.

Those stick on side vents drive the hell out of me along with those tacky chrome pieces that go between the windows on the front and back doors.

I hate the fake tail pipe that people put on older Mustangs because they want people to think they have a V8 GT instead of the six or four cyclinder.

Like the intent (make her my own) but often abhor the outcome (fake, tacky, black plastic vents on the engine hood). "A" for effort, "F" for execution.

Can't stand those chrome strips people put on the edges of doors. How does that look good?

Not an upgrade, but why do people leave those black dealership license plate frames on? Why would you want to be a rolling advertisement? And does anyone pay attention to them anyway?

For the same reason people like to dress like a gay homeless hillbilly when appearing on a news show. It's all about taste and preference.

Looks hideous also putting dual exhaust pipes on a 4cyl car is completely ridiculous IMHO.
